Nokia N9: Another N Series phone from Nokia Mobiles

Nokia N9 would be another phone in the ‘N’ series of legendary mobile manufacturing company Nokia Mobiles. Though company has not yet announced the release date of the new Nokia N9 but there are rumours that the new handset of Nokia Mobiles would carry the next generation features based on MeeGo operating system there are also the rumours that the impact Symbian Anna can be easily noticed in the phone.

The most appealing feature of Nokia N9 is its 12 mega pixel camera supported by 28 mm Carl Zeiss lens with F2.8 aperture and carries the features like geo tagging and face detection. In other words the camera installed in N9 is an upgraded version of camera that is equipped in Nokia N8.

The new Nokia N9 has AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen of 4.2 inches with 16 M colours display supported by the screen resolution of 360 x 640 pixels and owes the weight of 160 grams. The other display features are QWERTY keypad, Scratch-resistant oleophobic surface, Multi-touch input method, auto turn-off proximity sensor, accelerometer sensor to support UI auto rotate and handwriting recognition.


N9 operates on both 2G and 3G networks at the operating frequencies of GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 for 2G network and HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 for 3G network. Apart from this it supports connectivity GPRS Class 32, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, latest Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, USB On-the-go support edition, v2.0 micro USB data cable and at HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2 Mbps speed for 3G network.

With this the N9 is equipped with inbuilt FM radio with RDS and MP3 audio player supported by WAV/eAAC+/WMA player audio file formats, video player with MP4/H.264/H.263/WMV player upgraded with video editor. It has inbuilt WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML browser to support internet surfing and connectivity with various social networking websites. N9 also provides the facility of SMS, MMS, Push Email and IMs and is equipped with li-ion battery 1200 mAH. The Nokia N9 Price In India has not yet been announced by Nokia mobiles.
